How many participants are you expecting for the NACS?
We’re expecting hundreds of visitors to watch the swim and of course to watch the performances of the artists at the finish festival. The number of swimmers is for safety reasons limited to approximately 500 (The NACS’s organization reserves the right to modify this number).

What are the water conditions during the NACS?
The Hudson River is unique amongst the New York’s rivers. The tremendous daily flow of fresh water coming out of the Hudson Valley, combined with the incoming salt water tide from the ocean makes this one of the most biologically rich waterways on the east coast of all of North America.

If I register as a swimmer, what is my registration fee and how much money do I have to raise?
The registration fee for individual swimmers is $75 with a minimum fundraising requirement of $500. The registration for business teams is $2,000 with a minimum fundraising requirement of $2,000 (as a team) or $4,000 with NO fundraising commitment. The registration fee for student teams is $100 and the team must raise a minimum of $250.

Do you need any qualifications to be a swimmer?
Yes. All swimmers must meet certain qualifications. Please go to the “Event” tab and then the “Swimmers” tab on the website to see the specific swimmer qualifications.

Do I need to sign any forms before the swim?
All swimmers must read and agree to the online waiver and swim requirements at time of registration.

Do I need to bring anything with me?
Everyone needs to bring a valid government issued ID to the event! Please bring cash or a credit card in order to purchase food and Heineken beer at the Finish Festival.

Can I register as a swimmer the day of the event?
No. All swimmers must register on the website by Wednesday, June 8th. Please go to the “Register” tab to register as a swimmer.
